Managing injuries can be confusing and daunting without a medical background

Baron Healthcare Consultants can assist in complete follow through of injured workers from time of injury to full return to duties.

Baron Healthcare Consultants will work with your company’s claim management team to create up to date offers of modified duties, maintain contact with the worker, and communicate with supervisors and your health and safety team to support modified duties and return to work. Often, workers recovery is delayed by lack of early intervention, and lack of identification for need of intervention by WCB.

Baron Healthcare Consultants will use up-to-date medical information to advise of need for re-assessment, dispute seemingly unreasonable WCB recommendations to mitigate claim cost, and support the injured worker by providing rehabilitation and injury information, therefore protecting your company's bottom line against increased WCB claim and premium cost. This service can be bundled with our Virtual Triage service.

How Baron effectively manages injury:

  • Rehabilitation and injury management information is immediately sent to the worker after the call to start rehabbing the injury, as appropriate. 

  • If additional diagnostics or further expert opinion is needed, the worker will be directed to the nearest health centre to be assessed in person. 

  • Provide immediate recommendations to supervisors or appropriate company representatives on appropriate modified duties to eliminate the risk of lost time claims, therefore protecting the company's WCB premiums. 

  • Baron will collect stats on your company's injuries, and bring forth recommendations to mitigate the cause of the recurrent injuries. This will come in the form of CCOHS Hierarchy of Control to align with health and safety practices.

  • Baron will advise on potential factors as identified that may relieve the company of responsibility for the injury. (ie personal injury, pre-existing injury, no defined mechanism of injury that can be proven to be the direct result of work related activities)
